Metabolic Disorder

Metabolic disorder or a syndrome is a cluster of conditions that occur together, increasing your risk of heart disease, stroke, and type 2 diabetes. These conditions include increased blood pressure, high blood sugar, excess body fat around the waist, and abnormal cholesterol or triglyceride levels. Doctors and dietitians are trained to manage such conditions.

dietitian is a health care professional specializing in a variety of nutritional options aimed at treating a particular disease or a pathology. Dietitians provide Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) for the treatment of clinical conditions. Also, provide nutrition diagnosis as well as therapeutic and counseling services to help manage diabetes.

A simple way to understand Metabolic disorder

Let us use an analogy to define Metabolic Disorder. Pretend you are standing at a busy intersection in the middle of Times Square. There is heavy traffic in all four directions, pedestrians, bicycles, busses, delivery trucks, and taxis. Below the ground, subway trains go in different directions, and in the air, the airplanes and helicopters also fly in different directions. Each entity represents pathways that happen in our bodies. And all these pathways must be controlled and regulated by the traffic lights, or accidents will happen. So, Metabolic Disorder is when these traffic lights are malfunctioning. They might work or might not. It is like a kid playing with ceiling light with an on and off switch. In one instance, you have a green light, then there is a red light or both of them on or off simultaneously, stop, go, go, stop... you get the idea, right? So, what will happen? Pedestrians will bump into each other by crossing busy intersections, and cars will collide with busses, pedestrians, delivery trucks, and so on (each entity represents a pathway, remember?)

So, this mess is a Metabolic Disorder when our body system pathways malfunctioning due to organ and hormonal system disorders cause by disease or simply your nutritional regiment, or your diet. Therefore, it is better to prevent this rather than treating this.
